The STCFG Partnership

The foundation of the STCFG in the spring of 1997 brought together a group of business owners and residents, who were concerned for Victor’s future (and later expanded to include Cripple Creek) as well as the mining interests who were concerned for the future of the mining industry.  Board members include business, resident, mining, and governmental representatives.

The basis of the group, to fulfill our goals in a non-political mode, is that constructive working relationships, honest communication, and elbow-to-elbow efforts help create a positive partnership between the mining company, land owners, and the communities.  By working hand in hand for 20 years, the STCFG and CC&V, the cities of Cripple Creek and Victor, as well as other private landowners, have created a number of positive projects that have benefited the communities as well as us as our partners.

The STCFG is all about partnerships and positive community development. Project partners include Newmont, Two Mile High Mining LLC, City of Victor, City of Cripple Creek, Teller County, Gold Belt Byway, Victor Heritage Society, Black Hills Energy, Rocky Mountain Federation of Mineralogical Societies, History Colorado, El Paso Gold Mining Company, and many other groups and individuals who assist with various projects and relationships.

We continue to seek partnerships that result in positive outcomes for our communities and fit our goals and mission.
