The historic gold mining town of Victor will once again sparkle with treasures from the earth as the annual Victor Gem & Mineral Show returns to downtown for a weekend of fun June 19-21 – vendors selling gems, minerals, jewelry, museums full of mining history, free live music, and family fun.

Held in the heart of one of Colorado’s most authentic mining communities, the free public event brings together vendors, collectors, artists, lapidaries, and rockhounds from across the region. Visitors can browse polished gemstones, handcrafted jewelry, mineral specimens, geodes, turquoise, rough slabs, flint knapping, fossils, crystals, and Colorado-dug treasures while enjoying the cool mountain air at nearly 10,000 feet elevation. 

The show takes place throughout historic downtown Victor, where visitors can experience the atmosphere of an original 1890's gold mining town surrounded by headframes, historic brick buildings, museums, and scenic mountain views.   

Show hours are from 9 to 5 Friday and Saturday (some vendors will stay open during the music concert) and 9-4 on Sunday.  

In addition to shopping and exhibits, attendees can enjoy:
Gold and gem panning at the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum
Educational displays and mineral collections at the town's museums
Mine tours and local history attractions, including Rita the Rock Planter giant troll
Free live music – Saturday night Backroads Band will bring bluegrass to the stage
Hiking on the Trails of Gold
Free rock identification booth – bring your found treasures to learn more about them
Local restaurants, shops, museums, and historic attractions throughout Victor

Presented by the Southern Teller County Focus Group, the event celebrates the region’s rich mining heritage and growing interest in geology, lapidary arts, and outdoor adventure. The Victor Gem & Mineral Show is more than a rock show — it’s a chance to experience Colorado history, meet talented vendors and artists, and enjoy a unique mountain community. 

The Victor Gem & Mineral Show is open to the public with free admission. Visitors are encouraged to spend the weekend exploring the historic gold camp communities of Victor and nearby Cripple Creek.
